Hi there! I’m Irene.
I’m a spatial designer with a background in furniture fabrication and architectural design. The scope of my work concerns how humans meet the built environment and spans the topics of accessibility, community, and culture.
My research on inclusive design practices is currently being supported by GSARG at the University of Michigan and I work with relevant communities collaboratively.
My professional work has been recognized by the Furniture Society with distinction as an Emerging Artist, and my works have also exhibited at Wanted Design and ICFF.
In my spare time, I run Pith Flower Shop to educate people about the rare craft of traditional Taiwanese pith paper flower making. My research on this subject has been supported by the Fulbright Scholar Program and the RISD Maharam STEAM Fellowship.
