Miscellaneous Furniture
Furniture that I’ve designed and fabricated over the years. Made in a combination of analog and digital shops.
The Aria cabinet is made of maple wood with a plaster base. Brass handles made by Hannah Kim (RISD Jewelry ‘19). Contrasting material choices was inspired by the Elbphilharmonie building by Herzog and de Mueron.

Crafted from hand-carved cherry and ash wood, the Ripple Table captures the serene elegance of a river’s gentle motion, freezing a moment in time.
Ripple Table
The Iris Coffee table is made of bleached maple wood and traditional handmade paper made from mulberry that I harvested myself. The design was inspired by a camera iris.

The Shifu Bench is made of ash wood. The upholstered slip seat is made of handmade mulberry paper thread using traditional Japanese shifu paper thread making techniques. Formal instruction given by master Sadako Sakurai and Susan Byrd. I harvested the mulberry (kozo), made the paper, and rolled it into thread. The thread was woven into fabric and dyed by Krista Young (RISD Textiles ‘19).
