Cornerstone CLT

The Cornerstone Community Land Trust (CLT) was designed in collaboration with Aaron Comstock for the Winter 2024 Collectives Studio (UMICH). The mission of the Cornerstone CLT is to support the housing needs for those with identifiable hardships, primarily first generation immigrants. In support of its mission, the CLT was designed to be retrofitted and renovated in order to create additional units to accommodate more families on the property. The CLT was design in Ann Arbor, MI’s R1C zoning ordinance and was designed to support the addition of 8-10 units, a community garden and play area, within and around the apartment complex.
