In a world that often overlooks individuals with physical disabilities, the Omnitheater is dedicated to redefining the cinematic experience in a way that isn’t just limited to films on the screen. Rooted in its name, the “Omni”theater’s main objective is to make the entire movie-going experience designed for diverse ways of being human- starting from the entrance of the building all the way to its movie theater programming.
Inside the theater, you have all the main components of a typical movie theater like, ticketing, concessions, cafeteria, restrooms, theaters, administration, storage, etc. However there is also a film archive that features films on the topic of physical accessibility.

The omnitheater is situated on the intersection of south ashley st and east williams st., right at the edge of downtown, looking over residential areas. The first entrance can be accessed at the highest point of the site’s elevation,providing easier physical access from moviegoers coming from the downtown side, and the second entrance can be accessed at the site’s lowest elevation, providing easier access to the residential side.
